John Cage, Of what is and what might have been

As a musician, writer and philosopher, Cage strived to push back the boundaries of the accepted, not only in music, but in other art forms as well. In a series of concerts, installations, readings, lectures and performances, various contemporary artists provide their interpretation of Cage’s oeuvre: they present what is there, and what it might have been. The anarchy of silence — John Cage and experimental art

is not only the largest exhibition about Cage that has been held since his death in 1992, it is also the first time that an exhibition puts his work into the context of the history of art.
